National Lottery Cultural Recovery Fund for Heritage

Following the award of the National Lottery Cultural Recovery Fund for Heritage grant of £39,100 a lot of work has been undertaken in the church.

Roof gutters and downpipes have been cleaned and repaired. The north porch outer doors have been cleaned and re-oiled to add protection to the timber. Areas of worn and uneven paving stones inside the church have been replaced and levelled and our internal floors have been cleaned and polished.

The Trigge Library has been redecorated and deep-cleaned. Up to the end of September the Trigge Library is now provisionally open to visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 10:00am and 12:00noon.

In the churchyard, the gates have been redecorated and the notice boards refurbished.

Work will take place through the coming months to repair the leaking Victorian central heating pipes, particularly near the Font and in St Michael's chapel. We apologise for any inconvenience, but this work is essential if we are to have a warm and welcoming church this winter. Please note that this work is not funded through the National Lottery Cultural Recovery Fund for Heritage.

The Completion and Evaluation Report - June 2021 for the grant can be found here.
